By definition, the law of averages is a layman’s term supposing that events with the same likelihood of occurrence will even out, given enough tries.

Aside from being an erroneous, misleading theory, The Law of Averages are also a 6 piece alt/pop band based in the humble, big city of London, Ontario, Canada. Fronted by one of London’s own folk sweethearts, Taylor Holden, this collection of odds and ends pulls together quirky love stories, lush harmonies and infectious melodies to make you stomp your feet, twirl your lover, and get cozy all in one go. The latest extension of Taylor’s solo work is a bit of a love story in itself- It’s intimate, it’s dance worthy, it’s exciting, and definitely worth your best, tacky plaid t-shirt.

After releasing her debut album, Home, (produced by Moe Berg, The Pursuit of Happiness) to a sold out crowd, Taylor went on to play a sold out Canadian Music Week showcase and shared the stage with the likes of The Sadies, Fortunate Ones and Sean McCann (of Great Big Sea). Having returned from a cross-canada tour, Taylor Holden and the Law of Averages are set to headline the renowned Aeolian Hall and head back on the road in early 2017.
