Last summer, for the week before the festival, my family and I decided to camp at Harrison Park.
Since it was my first year as AD I wanted to be at Kelso Beach as much as possible while setup was going on. Harrison Park was cheaper than staying in a hotel for the week, and as it turns out, it was delightful. Mini-golf, paddle boats, a swimming pool, evening concerts in the bandstand, a restaurant, fire pits exotic birds, its got a ton of stuff. A quick car ride, or a 15 or 20 minute bike ride, or a healthy walk was all it took to get to Kelso Beach. There’s even a bus stop at the the top of the access road.
All that is by way of saying, that if you are coming from away for Summerfolk this year and you want to camp, Harrison Park is perfect.
