They were out on the site working on Saturday morning. They have in years past worked in rainier conditions, but the work is hard dry or wet. They are banging together stages and pounding in poles. Raising canvas and stringing wire. The sound equipment and the food vendors and the 48 artisans roll in over the next few days. The musicians, pretty much the same.

By Friday night, that tent above will be hopping to the sounds of Alex Cuba and Cécile Doo Kingué. People are going to meet Té and Jorge Miguel.

All that happens because 700 volunteers work like crazy to host a 38 year old tradition called Summerfolk.
