The Georgian Bay Folk Society is seeking applicants to fill two volunteer roles for the Summerfolk Music & Crafts Festival! Read on for descriptions of the roles and to submit an application!

The Artisan Village Coordinator is a volunteer position with the Georgian Bay Folk Society (GBFS) for the organization’s annual headline event Summerfolk Music & Crafts Festival (August 19-21, 2022.)
The Artisan Coordinator reports directly to the Summerfolk Committee. The duties of this position include:
- Attend meetings of the Summerfolk Committee
- Oversee the artisan village of Summerfolk.
- Recruit volunteers for the artisan committee
- Appoint and supervise the activities of a volunteer artisan crew for Summerfolk weekend
- Review and recommend to the Board policy changes concerning the Artisan Village at Summerfolk
- Assist in the preparation and be responsible for compliance with an established budget for the artisan committee
- Make recommendations regarding updating of artisan application forms on the website and ensure the committee prepares a call for entries for mail out to encourage application
The Commercial Food Coordinator is a volunteer position with the Georgian Bay Folk Society (GBFS) for the organization’s annual headline event Summerfolk Music & Crafts Festival (August 19-21, 2022.)
Tasks and responsibilities of the Commercial Food Coordinator include:
- Attend meetings of the Summerfolk Committee.
- Appoint and supervise the activities of the following crew chiefs: Construction Food, Backstage Café, Hotel Hospitality, & Commercial Food.
- Ensure all food services are provided in compliance with related government regulations.
- Review and recommend to the Board policy changes concerning commercial food services at Summerfolk
- Assist in preparation and be responsible for compliance with an established budget for commercial food services.
- Monitor food vendors’ compliance with approved commercial food policies.
- Make recommendations regarding the updating of food vendor application forms on the website and ensure the committee prepares a call for entry for mail out to encourage application
