The MacKenzie Blues Band
The MacKenzie Blues Band is a Maple Blues Award–winning blues-rock group based in Owen Sound, Ontario. Known for their gritty sound and electrifying live performances, the band blends the raw energy of 1970s blues-rock and gospel soul with a modern edge. With powerful vocals, fiery guitar work, and a tight, groove-driven rhythm section, they deliver an authentic and dynamic blues experience. Their music has received solid rotation on blues radio stations and CBC, helping them build a growing audience across Canada and beyond. The band has twice reached the semi-finals of the International Blues Challenge in Memphis and is currently recording their third studio album, set for release in late 2026.
